Birthday

It was my birthday yesterday, and it was a good day. I felt emotionally great coming into it, for the first time in, oh, a very long time. I’d made a special rice pudding dessert for my ex mother in law last Friday and it hadn’t been acknowledged. Not a single word of thanks, and nobody in the house ended up eating it except me. This will descend into what seems like, and may well be, self pity at some point.
